The PASSS (Porirua Alcohol Social Supply Study) Survey is one of four digital surveys funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand, as part of a 2016/2017 Pacific Postdoctoral Fellowship titled, "Apps for Housing and Health (A4HH) awarded to Dr. Ramona Tiatia of the He Kainga Oranga/Healthy Housing Research Programme in the Department of Public Health, University of Otago, Wellington (UOW).
PASSS is a fun-to-use survey app for children and young people aged 10-18 years old on matters related to access, exposure and relationship to alcohol within the community. Co-funding was provided by the Health Promotion Agency for the study titled, "Porirua Alcohol Social Supply Study (PASSS)", a project under the national Community Action on Alcohol Partnership Fund, led by the Regional Public Health (Hutt Valley/Porirua) and Safer Communities, in association with the Health Promotion Research Unit (UOW), Alcohol Watch, Ngāti Toa Rangatira Inc., and the Tumai Hauora Alliance.
